The Book

The Quran is the Word of Allah. Nur does not claim copyright in the Arabic revelation. Translations, tafsir, and Hadith collections remain the work of their authors and publishers. We show them for personal study under their ordinary public terms.

The software

The name Nur, the gold star, the layout, and the code of this app are reserved. You may not copy the product, strip the name, or present it as your own.

No ruling

Nur is a reader. Search, grades, and isnad tools are aids. They are not a fatwa, a certificate of sahih, or a substitute for a scholar you trust.

Accuracy

We work from well-known public editions (Hafs, Saheeh International, the Nine Books). Mistakes in transmission, numbering, or a third-party API can still occur. Check a printed mushaf or a known print of the Hadith if a line matters.

Acceptable use

Use Nur to read, listen, and learn. Do not scrape the service in bulk, overload the hosts, or use it to serve ads on the Quran.

Liability

Nur is offered as-is. We are not liable for a missed prayer time, a mis-copied ayah, or a decision you take after reading here. Prayer times are calculated, not announced from a masjid.

Changes

These terms can change when the app does. The date at the foot of this page is the date they last did.

Scan to open Nur on your phone

iOS notes

Open Nur in Safari — not inside X, Instagram, or Gmail.
Tap the Share button (square with an arrow up).
Scroll the sheet and tap Add to Home Screen.
Name it Nur. The eight-point star sits with your apps and opens full-screen.
iPad: same steps in Safari. Split View and Stage Manager keep Nur in its own pane.
Chrome or Firefox on iPhone still use Safari’s engine — add from Safari so the icon is clean.
Nur is not on the App Store yet. If a banner says “Cannot add”, update iOS and try Safari again.
