Short answers. The Book is longer.

How do I get Nur on iPhone or Android?: On iPhone or iPad: open Nur in Safari (not inside another app). Tap Share — the square with an arrow — then Add to Home Screen. Name it Nur. The star sits with your apps and opens full-screen. On Android: Chrome → Add Nur, or the install banner. Nur is not on the App Store or Google Play yet. If iOS refuses, update iOS and use Safari, not Chrome.
Which translation do I see?: Saheeh International, unless you add another in Settings. Pickthall, Urdu, and the rest wait until you turn them on.
Can I read Arabic only?: Yes. The three-line menu has Quran only. Translation, tafsir, and tajweed are opt-in.
Are the recitations free to use?: The reciters we stream — Husari, Minshawi, Abd al-Basit, Mishary al-Afasy, Maher al-Muaiqly, and others — come from EveryAyah / islamic.network for personal listening. The reciter still holds the recording. If an estate asks us to stop, we will.
How do prayer times and the Hijri date work?: Azan times are calculated on your device with adhan.js, using a method that fits your country. The Hijri date uses the Umm al-Qura calendar. Location stays on the device unless you refuse, in which case we guess a city from IP so Fajr is not blank.
Does Nur work without a network?: Save the mushaf once in Settings. The Arabic of all 114 surahs then opens from this device. Translations, audio, and Hadith still need a connection.
Who grades the Hadith?: We show the compiler’s own word where we have it — Sahih, Hasan, Daif, and the rest — and the isnad as transmitted. We do not invent a new grade.
May I quote Nur in a class or a post?: Quote the Quran and the Hadith freely. If you show Nur’s layout or name, say it came from Nur. Do not present a translation as the Arabic.

Open Nur in Safari — not inside X, Instagram, or Gmail.
Tap the Share button (square with an arrow up).
Scroll the sheet and tap Add to Home Screen.
Name it Nur. The eight-point star sits with your apps and opens full-screen.
iPad: same steps in Safari. Split View and Stage Manager keep Nur in its own pane.
Chrome or Firefox on iPhone still use Safari’s engine — add from Safari so the icon is clean.
Nur is not on the App Store yet. If a banner says “Cannot add”, update iOS and try Safari again.
