How to use Nur

Search anything
ابحث
The bar at the top is global. Type a surah name (Yasin), a verse (2:255), a hadith (Bukhari 1), or a word (mercy). Tap the mic if you would rather speak. You land on the verse or the report — not a list of ads.

Read the Quran

Open Quran from Begin here or the bottom bar. Chapters are in order. Saheeh International is on until you ask for another translation. Tafsir sits under the ayah when you want it. The three-line menu is settings, dictionary, and jump to verse.

استمع
On a surah, tap Play. The reciter reads the whole chapter and the page follows. Leave Nur in the background — recitation keeps going. Add to Home Screen if you want it like an app.

The Nine Books

Library opens Bukhari, Muslim, Nasa'i, Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, Malik, Ahmad, and Darimi. Arabic on one side, English on the other. Grade and the chain sit under the report. Rasul Allah ﷺ is always named first in the isnad.

On Begin here: the adult book follows Ibn Kathir — Quran first, then sahih hadith. The children’s book is the same stories in a smaller voice. Tap an ayah or a hadith number and it opens.

Dreams are of three kinds, as he ﷺ taught. A good vision from Allah, a sad dream from Shaytan, and what the soul tells itself. This is not a market dictionary. If a dream troubles your din, ask a teacher in the day.

Azan for your city

Tap the prayer row under search. Allow location. Leave Azan on. The call is Masjid an-Nabawi. If the phone kills the app you still get a notification — tap it to hear the azan.

Bookmark a verse or a hadith. Nur remembers where you left the mushaf. Saved is the last tab on the phone bar. Sign in (the person icon) if you want the same marks on another device.
