Nur is a reader. It does not sell an API. The Book and the Nine Books come from public editions.

Quran text and translations stream from alquran.cloud. Word roots from public morphology. Hadith from public collections. Recitation from islamic.network / EveryAyah.

If you are building a tool, use those sources — or a printed mushaf. Do not scrape Nur in bulk. Do not wrap ads around an ayah.

Faults in numbering or a third-party host can still occur. Check a known print if a line matters.

Scan to open Nur on your phone

iOS notes

  1. Open Nur in Safari — not inside X, Instagram, or Gmail.
  2. Tap the Share button (square with an arrow up).
  3. Scroll the sheet and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Name it Nur. The eight-point star sits with your apps and opens full-screen.
  5. iPad: same steps in Safari. Split View and Stage Manager keep Nur in its own pane.
  6. Chrome or Firefox on iPhone still use Safari’s engine — add from Safari so the icon is clean.
  7. Nur is not on the App Store yet. If a banner says “Cannot add”, update iOS and try Safari again.
