A bad dream — what you do

الحلم المكروه

He ﷺ said: if one of you sees a dream he dislikes, let him spit dryly to his left three times, seek refuge with Allah from Shaytan, and change the side he was lying on. Let him not tell it to people. In another wording: let him rise and pray.

You do not hunt a meaning for a nightmare. You do not pay an interpreter for a horror. You break it as he ﷺ taught, and you walk into the morning.
