How we pray

كيف نصلي

We wash: face, arms, head, feet. That is wudu. We face the Kaaba in Makkah. We say Allahu akbar and begin. We stand, we bow, we stand, we put our forehead on the ground. That is sujud — the closest a servant gets.

You do not need to know every rule on day one. Pray next to someone who knows. They will teach you the words. The Prophet said: pray as you have seen me pray. Seeing is how children learn.
